A Montessori Certified Preschool Teacher guides children ages 3 to 5 in a self-directed, prepared environment using hands-on Montessori materials.

Key Responsibilities 

• Prepare the Environment: Set up and maintain a clean, orderly, and attractive Montessori classroom equipped with appropriate developmental materials. 

• Guide Learning: Observe individual children and act as a facilitator to encourage independent, hands-on exploration at each child's pace. 

• Track Progress: Keep detailed, daily observational records of each student's academic, social, and emotional development. 

• Partner with Parents: Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth, classroom routines, and developmental milestones. 

• Manage Classroom Support: Supervise, mentor, and coordinate daily tasks with assistant teachers or aides.

Qualifications & Requirements 

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. 

• Certification: Valid Montessori Early Childhood (Ages 2.5–6) credential from a MACTE-accredited program (such as AMI or AMS). 

• Safety Training: Current certification in First Aid and CPR. 

• Experience: Prior student teaching internship or 1 to 2 years of experience in a mixed-age early childhood classroom.

• Patience & Calm: Ability to maintain a peaceful, structured, and supportive atmosphere under pressure. 

• Observation: Strong diagnostic skills to identify individual learning styles and developmental needs. 

• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with young children, parents, and colleagues
